Australia’s 30th Indigenous Accountant!
Indigenous accountant Gresham Congoo is the 30th Indigenous Australian to receive a professional accounting designation, after obtaining membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Gresham’s mob is from Birri, in Bowen, Queensland, and he grew up in Townsville. He started his accounting career at PwC Townsville Private Clients, managing tax and accounting matters for small-to-medium sized entities across a range of industries, including agribusiness, retail, high net wealth individuals and construction. From there he took up a position at PwC Indigenous Consulting, a majority Indigenous owned business in partnership with PwC, where he still works, using his skills to assist Indigenous businesses in areas such as Indigenous health and well-being.
The Governor’s Aboriginal Employment Industry Clusters join with Indigenous Accountants Australia to congratulate Gresham on his achievement and wishes him every success.
