Inaugural Indigenous Accounting and Business Conference
The Governor’s Aboriginal Employment Industry Clusters program was included in a discussion around Strategies for meaningful employment of Indigenous peoples at the Inaugural Indigenous Accounting and Business Conference held in Melbourne.
The Conference was organised and hosted by the Deakin Business School and featured keynote addresses from Professor Marcia Langton, foundation chair of Australian Indigenous Studies at the University of Melbourne and Mr Russell Taylor, CEO at Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS).
The Conference covered a range of sessions around how to better support more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into the accounting profession.
